The Aromas Water District Board and Staff would like to express their gratitude and appreciation of the service Richard Smith gave in the interest of the District's business. Richard was elected to the Board in 2014 and continued for eight years until retiring from the Board in November 2022. 

Richard has lived in Aromas since 1989 and has served in a variety of community organizations such as Aromas 4H, Transition Aromas and the Aromas Harvest Festival planning committee. He and his wife Wendy raised their two children, Jay and Lily in Aromas. He has been a Vegetable Crop Farm Advisor with the University of California Cooperative Extension for 29 years.
